Report # I'm Late!

Whoops! I know, I know, I forgot to post something yesterday, sowy.
Anyway, continuing with the text theme, the other day I was looking at some tutorials on how to load xml files into flash, I have looked that up before, but at the time I wasn't sure if I would need it, but now that I have settled down on the history, I have the perfect reason to use this method, I only hope it doesn't give too much trouble; but I think it will be worthy in the long run, if this works, I can implement dialogues in-game very easily, and that could lead to something that I have wanted to include but was afraid to try: cutscenes.
That reminds me, I have discussed this with Pen a couple of times, so let's give you guys something yo do in the meantime. How would you feel about Mitsuko having dialogue in the game? Can you picture her with a specific personality? Or are you fine with the classic mute hero thing? Let's hear it.

  2. I'd like to see her talk, but I'd also really like if she'd not be a slut, at least not right away. There's another game out there that is probably discontinued as I type this out, but it's called "unforbidden". This game adds dialogue for the heroine which changes depending on how horny she is or how "corrupted". I don't know how hard this is to implement, but something like that would be neat.

    1. Do this but use a system like:
      n > 5 #n being how many times she has had sex

      would cause her state to change from "Pure" to "Neutral"

      n > 15
      would be Corrupted. perhaps use different terms and number values but I am pretty sure you could code that without too many issues aside from the game recognizing that she is in that state and giving her proper dialogue to use in the game.
      perhaps in a While loop?

    2. Not only the number of times is important but also with what enemy I'd say. Part of the fun is to "roleplay" the heroine to a certain degree so she's very "kind" to one enemy while another would disgust her. There's a lot of room to put hot dialogue in there.

  3. I'm fine with the mute hero, but if you do add dialogue, I'd put it way down on the list of priorities.

  4. Just to compare, Mario almost never talks in his games except for the grunts of jumping or getting damaged. I don't think she *needs* dialogue to be successful, but it could help to convey her circumstance in trying to accomplish her goals; the same can be done through bodily language too with, or without speech.

    But if you can meet at the same ends, and have it be mutual either way, then the road of less is often the best to take. Yet, if it is apparent that something is missing that needs to be filled, then it is structurally sound to implement this,

  6. I like the idea of the game adding dialogue for the heroine which changes depending on how horny she is but also have options where you can switch to the mute hero and on new game you can start with here already horny.

  9. I'm inclined to go with Mute, because it's hard to make H-Game Protagonist dialogue that's not really hammy.

  10. dialogue that is horny/corrupt dependent would work perfectly for this title. it fits with the overall theme of the h-scenes anyway.

  11. As some have said. It's not needed but I'd love to see some that is based on how horny she is. Start her out normal but when aroused turn her into a very needy kitty

  12. Okay rewriting this because it didn't save and post what I wrote before #.derpforthewin. Anyway I think the idea of dialogue would be a good thing to have in since you could have cutscenes where the player can do things while dialogue comes up and you could have her give hints to the player as to where to go next. But I do think for those people that just want to play without text and cutscenes i.e speedruners you should have an option to turn it all off since I am one of those people that do replay games to just play it but hate the cutscenes and speak/dialogue since I just want to play (I don't mind though if I can do something to progress). Just my two pence

  14. I don't really picture her with a specific personality, but if you decide to make it more apparent through dialogue, I'm sure I'll change my view. Written dialogue is something I really enjoy if done well, but poorly written dialogue or dialogue with many technical errors can take away from the experience for me. If you're going to do dialogue, I'd prefer it's done very well than done halfway.

  15. With her 'arousal' scenes ive seen so far, she seems like the aloof, easily-forgetful type of character. At least how i viewed her :P

  16. from my experience, mute heroes tend to be the best lol, sometimes it can be done well. and doesn't have to be 100% mute either, it can be like skyrim/zelda where you can give multiple choice answers with choosing a sentence, that's totally fine, whatever is good to me xD

  17. Another vote for dialogue. It just brings a whole new level of kinkiness. The corruption thing always does it for me too.

  20. Keep her mute! Sin dialogo, se puede hacerla como cualquier tipa de heroína que prefiere usted. Con dialogo, creo que sea difícil para complacer a todos.

  21. i don't actually enjoyed the fact of her "giving up to the pleasure" instantly but i did liked the idea of having her as a chibi in the "death screen cut scene" and also i would rather a mute character as others have mention up here...

  22. i think she should speak in my opinion

    maybe a slightly cocky (like brave not as a ass) show-off attitude, not slutty but is flirty as well and of course as a catgirl she should be a very curious and nosy girl as well, also who makes mistakes but is quick to fix them, also can be and is very stubborn maybe?

    just a thought^^
